D500 focus point quick change

The D500 BIF thread got me thinking about this, but I didn't want to hijack that thread.

One of Steve Perry's tips that I have found quite useful is assigning the PV button for single point focus while having the back button set to group. This allows for a faster change to single point for a static subject.

exactly what i have set up on mine.

joy stick = single point
AF-ON = group
PV button = 25 point focus

all other on my setting are unticked as not used, if i ever require to change and try i can do easily.

Almost the same on both my cameras:
AF-ON = single point
joy stick = group

I don't use the PV as a focus point selector.
Works very well.

I may like the joystick better than the PV button. I think I'll try that.

cant go wrong with that, buttons are next to each other + its easier to move the focus point about as well without taking your thumb off it
