Nikon D750 inbuilt interval timer strange behaviour

If my exposure time is 30 sec & if I set interval time 31 sec or 32 sec, then it is not working properly. Camera should take each shot 1 sec or 2 sec gap, but camera takes long time between each shot.
But strangely if I set interval time 33 sec, then it's working properly. Camera in manual mode, long exposure + high iso noise reduction turned off. Is it normal ?

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the ride.
We look forward to seeing more posts and samples of your work.

Probably, not really a problem, but I don't own a D750 so can't test it.

Yep your right , just tried, all normal up to 30 sec then it needs 3 sec gap

I haven't used the timer in a very long time, but I thought 30 seconds was the longest set time Nikon offers. If you want to go longer, you should be in Bulb mode. There are wired and wireless intervalometers available that you can use to help prevent camera shake instead of pressing the shutter to stop the time.

The interval that you set must be long enough for the interval, + the shutter speed + the time it takes for the image to write to the disk...

Ex. If you're shooting RAW, and depending on the camera (depends on the size of the RAW file) it might take 3-4 seconds to write the file... if you set a 30" speed, and want a 30" interval between shots... you need 30" + 30" + 3-4" as your interval

This has been the case for Nikon cameras that have Interval Timers built in, for years...
