Exposure differences between camera

I am shooting side by side, same lens, low light, ISO 6400, shutter 1/640, f/4 but get different results between my d810 and D610. The D610 is noticeably darker and underexposed. All settings are manual, WB is the same, etc. Any ideas?

Maybe the D810 sensor has a bigger dynamic range. This could maybe explain this situation.

How are you quantifying this?
Your post will be clearer if you describe how you are able to observe a variation between the two cameras.

The image on the D610 is darker than the D810, as I mentioned before. Not sure how to quantify it much more than that. I’d say it’s 1-2 stops darker if that helps.

If you are only comparing Camera LCD displayed image to Camera LCD displayed image maybe all you need is to brighten one LCD screen.
Bring both images into an editing program on a _calibrated_ monitor, side by side, to truely compare.

Have a look at the histograms from both cameras. As Chucktin wrote, the LCD calibration could be different from one camera to the other.

the LCD monitors are both set at 0 but I will compare in Lightroom, thanks

We once did a test at work, photo lab at a government campus. Nikon D4 vs my calibrated LCD monitor. That particular camera, at factory default, was brighter and bluer than the monitor. It pays to remember that 99%+ flat panel displays are set to look _good_ not honest.

Or one has been accidentally set to Bracket function? Just thinking loud... Hopefully you'll find out something and let us know.
Yea I thought about that but it hasn’t I will let you know when I download the D610 photos. I’m at a rodeo right now and processing over 1,000 pics from last night to get ready for tonight.
