D810 Sports Mode Help

Hello everyone.
I`m looking at updating to a new camera, a D810. I shoot trucks from the roadside, and shoot in "M" mode usually, but sometimes if the weather is a bit dull, I switch to the Sports Mode(The running man icon) on my D5300. I can`t seem to find it on the D810, I`ve borrowed my friends while he`s away on holiday, so can`t ask him.
Does the D810 have a Sports Mode, if so, how do I find it please?
Thank you.
Alan.

There is no sportsmode on a D810. This is a semi professional camera what means there are no pre programmed modes like in amateur camera's. Your suposed to know your camera and know how to configure it for every situation you want to make photos

I have actually never used one of those program modes. My guess is, "Sports Mode" is similar to "P", but the camera will choose faster shutter speeds. Everything in "Sports Mode" you should be able to do manually: Just choose a faster shutter speed when you are in M.

It's possible the camera also adds contrast and protects highlights. You could do a little test: Shoot a static scene you can completely control, like something on your kitchen table, and switch from M to P to your Sports Mode. Then compare the settings and results. If you like how the Sports Mode shot looks, then try and figure out what adjustments you have to make in M to match the shot.
