I'd guess you're going to try catching landscapes. My advice would be to get up very early to get the best light. I think days are pretty long over there at this time of year so you might be able to shoot later in the night as well. The 18-105 and 35 could probably stay at home, you should be covered with the 11-16, 17-50 and 70-200. You might consider getting a monopod if you think the tripod is too much to carry around. But if you're thinking about doing waterfalls pictures, the tripod is essential. I've heard that to get to interesting places, you sometimes have to hike quite a bit. Get comfortable hiking boots or shoes, they probably will be your best friend when you want to get to that special point of view.

Extra memory cards, a laptop to dump your images every day, extra battery and just enjoy the place.

Thanks Marcel , I think your right with lens selection , we are only there for four days so we're looking at organised trips rather than wandering hoping to get to the right place at the right time
we have booked a day to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula to see the iconic Kirkjufell just now looking at an evening Northern Light experience but that's weather dependent , then what is called The Golden Circle tour which takes in several sights including geysers , waterfalls , Black basalt beach and a few others
A new travel tripod on shopping list any ideas ? Around £100 is my budget

As far as tripods, I have no clue as to what's available in that price range. I would be tempted to advise you to take a smaller and lighter one. For landscapes, your camera should be close to the ground a lot of times (near water falls). Just remember to use the mirror up mode with your trigger and you'll get super sharp images. Using a tripod and forgetting about the mirror up option can create unwanted camera motion that would decrease the sharpness.

Well 6 days to go , thanks Marcel for your input , unfortunately not a lot else , so , got a travel tripod seems a good buy , also a screw on 10 stop nd filter and a set of grad nd filters , not the best but after testing doesn't seem to have any colour cast , lots of sd cards and three spare batteries , we covered with boots, waterproofs and plenty of layers , don't think it's going to be too cold . Any advice or tips I will embrace with thanks

That's why I said I may be mistaken, I was thinking of the "Full circle tour" which goes around the entire island. A 14 day driving tour. That was the one the wife and I were planning on doing. We weren't able to make it happen this year though.
