Picking What to Print For Shows

I have been lucky enough to schedule three shows of my photos in the next few months, and I'm looking forward to it. I haven't done this in many years, so now I have to go through my pictures from the last 2-3 years and pick what I want to print. I'm having a really hard time narrowing it down. Any suggestions? :)

I post some pics in a local fb groups. It always amazes me that sometimes what I think is a poor shot gets the most likes and comments. I get too wound up in the technical details and don't always see the 'big picture'.

Good luck Woody. Like Ron said, check your thread(s) and see which have the most likes, then pick the ones in yellow (ten or above).

Yeah, sometimes I'll have a shot that is technically off, but people love it. Other times I'll have a perfect shot of a fairly rare animal or unusual event and people will be like... meh. :)

So Woody, how did these shows get set up? Did you apply to enter, or was your work seen somewhere? Learning how this came to be might help narrow down the field a little.

Thinking back through your work (what I'm remembering in my head), you had some owl photos, didn't you? Definitely include some of those. As far as constructive criticism, I'm not as enamored of photos that have lots of twigs and branches in them. And that's really a subjective opinion. I'm just not fond of seeing what *I* would call clutter as those twigs tend to pull my eye away from the subject. Please keep in mind my comment isn't being critical here! It's just what I like to view, but many others may not agree.

What do you have that includes rare subjects? Birds and what-not that aren't seen often might capture people's attention.

And if I'm not mistaken, you've had a number of reflection images. IMHO, some of those would be also be great. If I stepped on your toes, I sincerely apologize as that definitely wasn't my intention! Sometimes I'm really not the best when it comes to dancing. ;)
