Lightning setting

Hi I have a Nikon coolpix l340 what mode is best for a picture of lightning

Most would shoot lightning in manual mode with a 3 to 10 second shutter speed in hopes of catching some lightning. Aperture stopped down and low iso to keep the sky dark with that long shutter time. I don't know your camera, but I glanced through the manual. It looks like no manual mode on your camera. But you do have a fireworks scene mode and a night landscape mode. I would try the fireworks mode first. Night landscape could work too. Use a tripod.
