I thought I was versed in BBF but am having trouble. I only want BBF to be on continuous - release when I depress the button. Also go to AS/focus when I stop and let up on the BBF button. Can someone walk me thru the settings I need for this to happen. Paul

When you set the camera for release priority, the only way to switch to focus priority is to either go in and change it, or set U1 or U2 to different settings. When you remove your thumb from the back button, you can recompose which simulates AF-S. You'd pretty much only do that if your subject isn't moving. So no need to change to focus priority.

Well..unless there is a way to set a button to switch between the two.

This is your camera... button #25 & 26 is the selector...
25 is a switch between Manual Focus and Auto Focus...
#26 is the Mode button...

#47 is the dial that changes the modes...

While pressing the button #26 IN, with your left hand, turn the dial #47 while looking at the LCD display #9...

As you turn the dial, it will change between AF-S, AF-C, and AF-A...

For BBF, you want it to be on AF-C
