is it much of a job to set the new laptop up with creative cloud (lightroom and Photoshop) that is already on my desktop? Paul

I didn't have any issue. You'll just need to log in to your Adobe account and download the apps on to your new computer.

If I bought a laptop would I be able to get Adobe CC on both my laptop and desktop?? Just thinking for when I go to Florida I could start PP down there instead of waiting to come home :D

In the pre Adobe software rental era, I was able to run my copy of Photoshop CSx on both my laptop and desktop. Not sure what Adobe permits now!

I believe the answer to your question is yes... One Adobe CC license permits you to install on two devices.

I have it on both my Laptop and Desktop. Now you can't share catalogs. What I do is load the images on my laptop while traveling so I can look at them and maybe post 1 or 2 and then when I get home I then upload the raw files to my desktop and Lightroom. Simple and it lets me reformate my SD cards if I need the room.

Likewise. I have PS and LR installed on both my travel laptop, and my home/office MacPro.

Now you can't share catalogs.

I store a copy of my catalog on a travel drive, so I am able to open the catalog and do edits while on the road. I had tried keeping my catalog on Dropbox, but opted to go with the external drive and sync software to keep my internet connection from thrashing with the multiple versions of the catalog created while editing. Other than the occasional disconnect from Adobe online for my Lightroom Mobile sync, I've not had any problem with this travel setup.
