I am getting use to Lightroom but I am stuck, how do you re size ?

I assume you don't mean Crop.

So to resize a photo :-
Make sure you are viewing it in the Develop Module.

Then select File - Export

This will open a new window.

Here you can give the file a new name or change its type to JPG or png or whatever.

If you scroll down the window you will see a sub section called Image size.

In this section you can choose what size you want.

Then when you have everything set up you click the Export button at the bottom.

There are some standard presets that you can use by selecting File - Export with Preset.

Or you can even create your own Preset if you want to use specific settings over and over again.

hope this helps.

Another question, when I have re sized in Elements I use un sharp mask where is this in Lightroom ?

Sharpening is in the same Export window right below the Image size section. You can select what kind of sharpening you want enable sharpening by clicking the check box and then select from the drop down whether its for screen or print and also you can select how aggressive you want it to be.

If you want to manually adjust sharpening before exporting then thats done again in the Develop Module.
On the right hand side under the Detail drop down. You can play around with the settings until your happy.

This guy does a pretty good Lightroom basics in 1 hour tutorial, worth watching.

You can resize as @wornish says but you don't have to be in Edit - the same thing can be done from Library.

There is no real equivalent to LR's Unsharp filter but the "Details" sliders in the "Develop" section do a pretty mean job.
I would be careful about sharpening for screen or printing in the "Export" function as you have no control over it. I had it switched on at one point and my photos were over sharpened here on Nikonites.
I think that feature is there for those who don;t sharpen at all but I could be wrong
