Hi all, I'm new to photography, I have a d3200 and want to upgrade soon to a d750, I want a very good full frame landscape lense, I was thinking about the tamron 15-30 vr 2.8 bus as I love long exposure photography and it doest have a filter thread it's back to the drawing board, my budget is about $1000, I really hope I can get a great landscape lense for that price. Any suggestions?

If you want to go that wide consider the Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G for starters.

My second suggestion would be the Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro.

The 18-35 is a great little lens on full frame and a really good value too.

The new Nikon 24/1.8 is a superb (reviews said so) l landscape lens. It's not a zoom, but it will provide better photos. Less than $800.

I've had chances to play with one (thanks Melinda!) and can confirm it is nothing short of optically superb; and I mean corner to freaking corner.

At some point this lens will probably replace my current (and tiny!) Nikon 24mm f/2.8D that keeps getting lost in my bag.

Another vote for the Nikon 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G lens (be sure NOT to get the D version of this lens). The G version is sweet although it lacks VR. Good price for a fantastic lens!

Nikon 16-35 F4. It's around your budget and a nice lens with filter thread.

My next planned lens is a Nikkor 20mm f/1.8. The reviews mostly say it's a stellar lens, and competes very well with the Zeiss lenses in that focal range. That, to me, says an awful lot.

However, you might want to look into alternative ways of doing wide-view landscapes, specifically using photo stitching software to create wide expanse photos made with, among other things, a normal focal length lens. If you work quickly, all but the most dynamic scenes will work well with this technique.
