The only issues I have ever had with focus, is when you are looking into bright sunlight - it can really struggle to pick up the focus point. But other than that, both of my D4's have lightning fast, VERY reliable focus.

It's kind of a push... Used D4 completed auctions on eBay go for $2800-$3200... The relatively low shutter count puts it in the $3200-$3400 range...
New D810 is going for $2300

You'd be wrong. Many Nikon dealers have an eBay store... B&H Photo, Adorama, Robert's Camera etc... eBay is just another market place for bricks & mortar stores...
