Nyc photo expo-10/24/2016

Wanted too see if anyone is attending this awesome expo, if anyone has been in the past please share your experience, thanks.

Do you mean 2015? PhotoPlus Expo? I went last year and will go again this year. Heading in, I expected to be pretty plain and quiet, but it was the exact opposite. Nikon's "booth" is right at the entrance and has speakers (professional photographers) all day long giving talks. Very energetic and lively. There are a LOT of other exhibitors and it's a good chance to take a look at the latest products.

I went last year and a couple years before that. I usually go in with my brother so we get a day out together, but this year he'll be working. If you go, say hi to Tony at the Canon booth. He starts his new job with them Monday, so they're throwing him into the deep end. I was thinking about going in but I'm not sure now.

Yes i'm eager to go, i have to talk my wife into it. It might turn into a shopping spree to the city. How many hours do you need for the event? Did you visit all the booths?

Last year, I spent all day Saturday there. I walked through everything, but didn't stop to look at things I wasn't interested in, like drones and print media. Most of my time was spent at the Nikon and Samsung areas.

Anybody else going? Nikon just posted their schedule of presenters.

In years past it seems I've always gone on dark and dreary days when shooting any skyline photos was a ridiculous venture. Thursday is looking halfway decent, so I may just venture out.

I've committed myself to spend 1/2 hour at the Canon booth where my brother and his new colleagues promise that they'll be able to talk me out of 5 years worth of Nikon acquisitions. We'll see how that goes.

I'm in NYC all weekend, but the schedule is full. I may go if I can find the time.
