Loose lens mount advice needed

I just received my Tamron 150-600 and immediately noticed there is some play in the mount. It is just enough that if i move it back and forth i can hear it. As it is i guess i'm alright with it, but am worried that with much use taking it on and off the camera that it might get worse. Would like to get some feedback from others that have experience with this. Is this something to worry about?
Even though i just got it today and have little time with it, it does seems to take good images.

Mine does the same -- a very slight movement when locked in. Have not noticed any shooting issues, though.

That's curious... Is this motion you all are talking about rotational, or do you mean it's perpendicular to the body?

I think I'd be less concerned about the former, more so about the latter.

Rotational play here as well. This is a little more than i've had on any of my lenses before. I know it's not enough to affect function as it is, but wouldn't want it to get any more over time. Plan on putting many miles on this lens and will be switching out a lot so i have some concern.

The Tamron 150-600 on my D800 has a very very slight rotational movement but I don't think it' a problem. My Nikon 24-70 moves a hair also. No big deal as long as the contacts remain in touch.

It was enough play to surprise me the first time i put the lens on, otherwise i wouldn't have thought much of it. I hated to be "that guy" and have to do that, but it is what it is.
Hats off to BH, no questions asked.

A bit of rotational on mine, did wonder if it could be part of the cause of the focus freeze.

I don't think so since mine is a tight fit in every direction.

If Tam uses the same principle as Nikon, I think there's a certain position where one of the VCMs either gets stuck or receives no signal. I don't know if they have a default position they return to when the power is cut but if, it would explain why turning off the cam or removing the lens fixes that problem.
