I hate myself. RAW editing question

I just spent a weekend in Chicago taking photographs... drove 6 hours home... andddd realized I accidentally shot everything in JPEG.

Any editing tips or suggestions to help these images look somewhat like a RAW edited photo?

Ouch! Been there and done that.

You can do the same things, but just don't have the level of adjustment, especially with white balance.

Post an image.

All is not lost. If your exposures are correct, then you are in good shape. A .jpg is not the end of the world, not by a long shot!

I still have a lot to learn with night photography but they didn't turn out horrid like I expected... just took a bit longer to adjust 4.jpg5.jpg6.jpg8.jpg13.jpg

Don't forget that it is possible to open jpeg files and edit them with the Raw editor of Photoshop.

Here's what you have to do:

Open Photoshop
Click <File<open
Select your jpeg file and then in the dialog box in the bottom, click format and select Camera Raw in the selection box.
Bingo, your jpeg file will be opened with all Camera raw edition possibilities, including the precious color temperature adjustment.

Hope this helps.

Absolutely. Lightroom offers the same thing without having to even think about it since its Develop module is the ACR interface.

As was mentioned, with well exposed photos you can do most of what you need to with a JPEG file. If you need to tame highlights and bring out shadows you're likely out of luck.

Not tried this if you convert them to Adobe DNG you might have more options in terms of adjustments possible. The DNG format is "supposed" to be as flexible as RAW.
