It's very sharp and I love the B&W edit. I would probably crop it a tad differently though. On a portrait in landscape orientation, I prefer the subject to not be in the middle of the frame. Personal preference though!

Nothing wrong with the image. I'd have looked at taking out some of the facial shadows perhaps. Definitely have cropped it to portrait, employing some of the Rule of Thirds in there. Cant give my take as your image editing says 'No'

It is quite cropped in tbh and I started to pick up some noise cropping in more, but I've not really touched it too much after the entail play, I may revisit when I'm off and have another look to see what I can do.
This is the second time someone's said to me about no editing my pics where and how do I alter this, I do t mind if anyone tweaks them for the better?

exposure on the final image is under. hat is creating a larger shadow on the top edge of face. not my favorite bw, as it looks gloomy. the expression is fantastic.

It was more of a walking snap shot than anything planned I do agree about the shadow on the face though, my niece is very good at picture she had always pose sand put some sort of face on as soon as she's spotted a camera almost instinctively perhaps mum and dad are posers lol..

Natural shots are the hardest to get.

That said overall I like the image!

I would change the crop, leave it in landscape but put her on the left of the frame a little more following the rule of thirds.

Brightness up a little and pull out some more shadow if you can.

Noise and grain is not necessarily a bad thing. I like some noise in my images, it adds to it in my opinion :)

Just my take on your shot. It's been cropped and has had the overall exposure lifted using a Levels Adjustment. The shadow that was falling across her face and eye's have been lightened about half, to three-quarters of a stop on top of that, using the Adjustment Brush in Camera Raw. Then I did a tiny bit of dodging and burning on the tip of her nose and cheeks. Looking at it now I'm not entirely happy with the crop but here ya go. See what you think...

Tbh I think both versions have their merits and faults but I suppose a lot of that comes down to personal preffs, and I suppose also a lot of it comes down to how well each of our monitors etc are calibrated if at all.
My own failing there is mine is definitely not it's basically set for my viewing taste it's not something I've ever thought about doing or having done but maybe that's another thread.
