Hi everyone,

Hoping to get some feedback on my first HDR. Any comments relating to overall composition, lighting, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! FINSLoRes.jpg

First off, I like the colors and the scene. I think it would be more pleasing if you corrected for the lens distortion that is introduced by your 10mm lens. The tilting of the walkway and the tower make my eyes do funny things. Ha!

When shooting wide angle try and keep the camera square to the scene. Meaning dont point up,down or side to side too much. It will lessen the distortion that way.
Overall I like the composition, although having the bridge more in the middle of the scene would help.

Thank you! It was a gorgeous sunrise that morning. I agree, I knew there was something slightly off about it, but couldn't put my finger on it haha. Thanks, I'll try and work on this in Photoshop.

Very nice start. I'm glad you avoided the temptation to overcook it.

Yeah, I definitely have a tendency to really oversaturate my photos, but I'm working on it :)

I took your advice and played around with the distortion, perspective and warp tools in Photoshop and netted out with the below. Overall, I think it looks much more natural, so thanks again for your feedback!

Looks to me like it needs more correction. Notice how the fence appears to lean inward, especially as it gets closer.

I took that image, and applied a bit of correction with the colinearity function in Zoner Photo Studio, and got this:
