Apple Blossoms (heavily filtered)

I've worked on this shot and had to use the filters in CS5 to give it more impact. Do you think this is too much effect? Is it still a photograph or has it become art?

Looks pretty good to me, Marcel. Maybe just a touch too much contrast, but other than that........nice.

Is this better?

Beautiful! I love the bokeh in the background. I think I like the first one better, though it looks sort of like a painting, but thats ok for me.

Thanks Jen. I'm not sure which one I like best, but I lean toward the first one too.

The 2nd one is a little washed out on the upper blossoms. Like the first one better. Some day I will learn the trick to taking super sharp photos!!!

Well I like the second one better! lol Less dark shadows on the petals and the branches. Doesn't look washed out at all......looks more real, actually.

My 2 cents . . . I like the first one, but then my preference is always for the colors to pop . . . and so what if it looks like a painting . . . it's beautiful and evokes an emotion, so that makes it art!
