The first one....something feels off for me. Almost like I get a sense of stiffness in the pose. The image looks great but doesn't feel relaxed. For me at least.

Second image. Now that's a hell of an image! (might be my phone but maybe see a bit of blue/purple....)

Great shots. I agree with the rest here and on close inspection it looks like there is a bit of tension in the neck - most as if she is lifting or turning her head just beyond comfortable.
Really cool shots though.

Lighting on the second one shows much more "modeling" and "mysterious" if you will. Women go for that.

The lighting on the first one is pretty even. A tip when it comes to photographing women, make the light as soft and flattering as possible. Women are obsessed with that kind of s--t. Sharp shadows can be very revealing when it comes to minor flaws (to you and me) but HUGE flaws when it comes to women. Her hair is also going basically "straight up". With the crop as tight as it is, that is a little awkward looking.

I agree about the hair..Not sure how much softer the light could be on the first one..I had a 2x3 foot soft box bout 1 1/2 feet above her...Nice even light is good as long as it is not flat...

@Lawrence , thanks. That's what I was feeling. The neck seems to add a sharpness to an otherwise soft sensual photo.

The lighting for me works though. Love the soft glow. Really got the light from within vibe going for me.

Like i said before, the second image is all win. On my phone the blue seemed a little strong and added an almost eerie feel to it. But now that I am home I really dig it. (It's not as noticeable. Blue lights give me a sterile...almost fake vibe.) Maybe do up a series? Wife willing of course.

I like the photo. Your wife is a pretty lady, what took so long to get her in front of the camera?

Have you tried this photo in a portrait crop? Not saying portrait is a better crop, or that horizontal is bad. Just curious. Thinking portrait crop might be too tight and uncomfortable.
