This is another HDR shot from a series of lighthouses I took up in Cape Cod last year. This is one I'm considering for a photo contest later in the year with a theme of transportation. The EXIF Data is: D90, 18-105mm Nikkor, ISO 200 Focal Length 21mm, f/22, Shutter Speed 1/25, White Balance Shade, CPL Filter, HDR 3 Shot Bracket, Aperture 3 Post Processing, Photomatix Pro Plug-in, Adobe RGB, Tripod Mounted.

Beautiful shot, Joseph. I'm not sure if you got all the feedback you wanted on this. The only thing I might adjust is to tone down the brightness of the lighter-colored rocks. They seem to distract a little from the lighthouse. I'd like for my eyes to willingly follow those rocks to the lighthouse, which then points to that glorious sky. . . almost like an explosion. Right now, I have to MAKE my eyes follow the rocks to the lighthouse, but instead of traveling up to the sky, they bounce back to the rocks. Hope this makes sense.

Once again, Joseph, this is a blue-ribbon winner in my book.

Best Regards

Pretty cool shot, Joseph. I like the overall composition and perspective. Pete would love this shot, as he is very into lighthouses. And I understand Helene's take on it and her comments, but it's still a great shot. :)

Thanks for the comments guys. Helene, you're right, I was looking at the same thing but did not notice it until I had posted it. I'll get it toned down before I print it out. Helene, your critiques are always spot on, thanks.
