Stranger passing by

A man took a picture of me and my friend when we were sitting on a stair, so I ran up and asked if I could take his picture too.

f/3.5, iso 200, 1/400
50mm

Think it should have a black bagground.

I really like this shot. The full frame works great and I like the composition. Shouldn't be too hard to change the 'background' to black :)

It appears you've captured a human grizzly bear. Well done. The texture in the shot comes right through.

Lol yes! Actually he was not a sad man (if you noticed the tear in his eye), he was very friendly and smiling. He had screaming blue glasses sitting on top of his head, which I asked if he could remove, didnt really fit the image.

The weathered face and especially the eyes shows such depth. Great depth.

Very lucky to bump into him like that :)

Diggin' this photo! I'm working on putting together a personal collection of 100 strangers, just candid street portraits like you've just masterfully captured, and this is inspiring! Kind of a cool quick pre-story too.

Yeah, me too. And yes, it should come with some sort of short story. But here i Denmark its kind of a thing just now, taking portraits of people passing by (but they do it at the same spot) soooo if I should do it, it should be with a twist.

Great shot, nice lens too! Sigma?

Youre from Denmark?

Yes to all of it :) Your not so far away.

I do love this Sigma but its not so fast, focus I mean. And I had huge problems getting it to focus against the sun (was trying to focus on a girl, but with the sun coming in from behind her) so I had to focus manually on some of the shots, which Im not so used to. Not really sure why it wouldnt focus (worked fine before and also afterwards).

Don't care much for most portraits, probably because they do not capture the essence of the person the way this one does. Outstanding.
