The Catch

We all dream about taking the perfect picture, of being there just at the right moment to capture a dynamic event, or just have enough luck to include something significant in a photo. It rarely happens and, in a way, it is a good thing as it makes you appreciate those special moments when things DO go right. Last Sunday I discovered the Wasp Spider and took some shots which are included in the "Insect photos with the D3100" thread.

This morning, I came across another, the only difference being that, this time, there was a hoverfly caught in the web. This is the moment the spider went in for the kill!

"Come into my parlour" said the spider to the fly.

"No need to worry, just look me in the eye
I will look after you, there's no way you will die"

Very cool shot my friend! Great catch! :D

I'm having the most incredible luck at the moment with the subjects I am finding. It won't last but I'm making the most of it while it does. Hope things come good for you. Thanks to everyone for their support.

I was talking more about the subjects. This morning, on the outward leg, I saw nothing and yet, coming home, there was this magnificent web which hadn't been woven in an hour. I have luck on my side at the moment. I am finding subjects I would never have thought existed and others which just seem to crop up out of nowhere. Who's complaining? Not me :)
