This photo was one from a recent wedding and if I remember right the little girl had just been told off from her mother (the bride) so was sulking next to her brother who was just smiling away

Opps....Sorry about the exif data, I am a member of a few forums and this being the only one that asks for exif I keep forgetting to add it :dispirited:

Really great picture. One thing I notice is that there is a fair bit of vignetting at the corners... is that by design? Or perhaps an artifact of the lens?

Beautiful photo. Being in BW it is just timeless and the expression on the little girl's face couldn't have been posed. So strange, in this day and age, that monochrome still suits certain subjects much better than colour.

Thank you very much......

Yeah I agree that B&W just suits certain images so well. When I processed the photo I just knew it had to be in B&W

I am of an age where photos were in BW when I was a kid. I wonder if today's kids will see photography in the same light. It would be a great pity if they were to lose a great means of expression, easily achievable on a computer, in favour of total colour. By the way, I'd love to know who was supposed to be sitting at the other end of the bench.

Yeah I am of the same age and recall with great fondness spending many hour in a darkroom feeding film onto spools etc ... great fun

The actual shot was basically candid with the boy already there and then his sister joining him in a mood. But I left them there as I like empty space in my photos and I personally think it adds impact... well that would be the idea anyway
