Lynnsey High Key

I took this image in a studio model shoot about a little over a year ago but decided to re-work it. This is what my life is down to on a Friday night, but hey, my wife has put up with me for 30 years, she is used to it!

I cropped it much tighter, converted it to grayscale, lightened it a lot to give a more high key effect and spot colored her eyes (which are a beautiful blue to begin with, just not that blue). D700 and 85mm f/1.4 AIS Nikkor. She is very blonde and has the most adorable freckles but the high key effect pretty much eradicated them.

I need to call her, I want to shoot her again!!!

A little too High key for me, but that's personal taste. I like the use of selective color, even though many think it's time has past. I like the intensity of her stare also, beautiful.

Thanks! Actually I was thinking it was not high key enough. I tried using the diffuse glow tool in PS bit that blew it out too much.

I'm with Rick on the selective color thing, though with eyes like that I suspect I would be tempted to show them after the B&W conversion too. If they weren't that blue then perhaps a little sell of it?
