I'm brand new with a speedlight and thought this came out great for experimental shot.
What say you?

Artistic intent/summary of the photo: My intent was to test my new sb910

What specifically do you want feedback on? Did I use the speedlight effectively?

Me says, you got yourself a good flash unit. However, you need to use a 910 in many different environments/situations to really feel it's "muscles" (this photo of a boy, somewhat noisy, could have been taken with the built-in flash unit just as well).
I just came back home from the funeral where I had taken about 150 shots with the built-in flash unit, quite successfully.

Just a heads up but you should read the guidelines.

PHOTO SUBMISSION RULES

1. Only one photo submission per day (24 hours). We don't want the forum to be monopolized by a single member.

2.
Upload one image in your post. If you have a set of images, just provide a text link, either to your member gallery here on Nikonites.com or off-site. If you are unsure how to do this, please ask.

3.
Include as much info as possible along with your image:

  • EXIF data
  • Artistic intent/summary of the photo
  • What specifically do you want feedback on?

Photo submissions will be moderated. If the above 3 items are not included along with your photo, your thread will be deleted.

All you need to do is include your EXIF details and maybe a bit more about what you wanted.
