Flash/Smile Meter

This is my new-to-me old used flash meter.... and my precious daughter. Got the meter from a small photography store that seems to specialize in things so antique nobody wants them. I say this because the store, unfortunately, is always empty.

Nice shot of your daughter. You might even want to PS the meter out.

I used to have one of these and it did the job. But with digital, since we get the result right away, I don't find that I need one anymore.

This was just the prep shot. I snapped a few more after making the appropriate adjustments.

Yeah, I don't find myself using it very much. But i still like to pull it out from time to time; after-all, what appears on the back of my camera always looks better than what I end up with, even with a histogram check.

Oh boy, she is a doll. Is she around 3-ish? I take so many shots of my grandkids that they pick up sticks or rocks and pretend it's a camera and try to take my picture.

Btw, I grew up not far from you in Whittier (commonly known as "Shittier" back in my time).
