can someone point me in the right direction for a lens pouch that will fit a 120- 300mm f/2.8 lens with hood attached preferably with a converter attached as well

Who manufactures this lens? Providing the lens measurements and what type of protection you are looking for might help others including your budget. Just simple stuff.

I just bought the ThinkTank Digital Holster 50 V2.0. It has a maximum depth of 16" so that should get your 120-300 (Sigma?) into the holster - at least without the hood extended.

I bought mine at McBain Camera (best price but currently out of stock as I bought the last one this week! :)). Calgarys' "thecamerastore.com" also carries them for about $10 more. Henrys carries them but their prices are just too high for the ThinkTank products.

Here is a product shot of the Digital Holster 50 V2.0 from the ThinkTank webiste:

I have the same case James but I use it with a Think Tank Pro Speed Belt.

Amazon.com: Think Tank Pro Speed Belt V2.0, Padded Medium-Large Size Modulus Accessory Belt, fits 32" - 42", 81 cm - 106 cm, Black: Camera & Photo

I'm thinking of getting the Think Tank Racer harness just to distribute the weight evenly when shooting for longer periods.

The only thing that I don't like is that with the pouch mounted on the side, it kinda makes me look "fat".

Glenn- How wide is the web portion of the belt and how wide are the loops which go around the paded portion? Thanks!

That looks great James, do you wear it with a regular belt?

Hi Rick. It's designed to be carried in a number of ways. You can of course use the included shoulder strap or the hand strap on top of the holster. This holster is part of a larger system designed by ThinkTank which allows you to carry it on various belts, etc. of their design. I haven't tried it on my regular belt but the bag does have a built in system (not a loop per se) that appears to allow you to hook it around your regular belt. Not positive about how well that might work though.

A lens pouch? So does the ThinkTank holster I posted above qualify as a pouch? It certainly seems to fit all the criteria you've listed so far in terms of size, etc.

Ahh! You want a lens changer bag! Well look no further than Lowepro. Check this out. I'm sure this is what you want. :)

Yes, that's exactly what I am looking for. Just wish they made a bigger one

Well, the nice thing about Lowepro is that they listen to their customers. Now...this looks to me to be a pretty big case for changing lenses, but if it isn't, you can write or phone them, and they will listen to your concerns and build you one to fit your needs. What have you got to lose? :) Get hold of them and see what they will do for you.

i may just have to make one or have one made
as it seems there isnt anything out there that fits
it seems only people with 200 2.8s need a change pouch
