Interesting. I am always skeptical of Kickstart campaigns, and I am skeptical about the push button adjustment thingy. None the less, I'll be interested to see what people say once the product is actually out there. I have yet to find any tripod head that I really think works well and is easy to use.

They finally released a video showing how it works. Not sure it's for me though.

I can't imagine using this with my rig and shooting hummingbirds. Way too complicated for field work, but it looks real pretty (which may be the actual sales point)

It is kinda cute, but I cannot see it being for me. Bill16 sold me an ARCA Swiss ball head at a great price and I think that will last forever, and there are only a couple knobs on it. I think I can handle it with one hand... The one feature that did look interesting was the panning mode. That is pretty slick if you make no effort getting your tripod level, but then I guess you would not need the cool leveling light in the head.

I really like the improvements made on this new ball head.
However it's new, so I'll watch with interest as it goes out
for a real world review.

Can always buy one on e-bay later if they catch on.
I did not catch where they were made.

I have a Sunpak carbon tripod that originally came with a pistol-grip head. That is also an inverted-ball design with an even easier and more instinctive aiming design. However it is made of mostly plastic and the ball is tiny so not stable with heavier load. I never use that head anymore, even though it works OK with a light load.

Really, I have no use for such an item. I don't want to pack extra batteries for my tripod operation.
