Camera battery replacement.

I wasn't quite sure if this was the correct place to post (site overall/thread) but here goes...

I recently picked up a Chinon CS camera, perfect condition. But, it has no battery and from the research I've done, it used an old Mercury one that is now obsolete due to it being considered dangerous, so, I was wondering if anyone knew what I could replace it with?

Sorry, I know it's not a Nikon but I'm a little lost!

Just google the original type required and check out options. In the end I just decided to use my hand held light meter as the battery was only for the light meter in the Rollei.

But in my case, my old hand held Luna Pro meter also uses the forbidden Mercury batteries.

Dangerous stuff mercury, but we played with it in our hands in grade school... Yes, 60 years later, I do have almost half my original IQ points.

A company I worked for once spent $12-million removing and properly disposing of 1,000 "mercury meters" used to measure flow in pipelines.

Care to guess what element plays a prominent role in the compact fluorescent lights (CFLs) that we're now being forced to use instead of plain-old incandescent lights?
