I use a Blackrapid strap most of the time, but sometimes it can get in the way like when shooting landscapes, so what other detachable small straps would you recommend?

I like Cotton Carrier. https://www.cottoncarrier.com/ I used the 2 camera combo till I needed a walker to get around.
I still use the chest carrier for my long lens. Switched to Black Rapid for short lens on my hip (i can move camera to my lap when i sit).
There is a dealer in Ireland.

Peak Design Slide has MULTIPLE ways to attach it to the camera and it uses an Arca mount on the bottom of the camera :)

My wife found this home made maker of designer straps in the town where my daughter lives, we actually went to her home / studio and had a very nice visit. Everything is handmade in Okotoks, Alberta. We have several of her straps.

I have her harness and some neck straps and a wrist straps - fine handmade craftsmanship.

I also use a speedcarry for my 200-500.

I use a Black Rapid sling strap, one of the first they released a long time ago that had the magnetic closure pockets and also a hand strap that stays on all my cameras. It allows secure holding of a heavy camera/lens during long events without having to tighten finger pressure to hold securely, allowing 1 hand shooting with a 70-200 2.8 . I leave the strap loose enough to instantly slip my hand into it when the camera is on the sling hanging at my side and bring up to my eye in a quick single motion. The tripod mount can be used also, but I seldom use a tripod except for night architecture shooting.
When my hand is in the loose hand strap, barely flexing the large joints of the fingers creates a wedge that locks the camera rigidly held with almost no finger pressure. Relaxed fingers don't get tired in a 9-10 hour wedding or event.

I was at her production facility today - aka her basement, met her staff - a lovely lady. Everything is hand stitched - I watched them make a few straps. Lisa, the owner operator sold me a [FONT=arial, sans-serif]ukulele strap for my wife's latest instrument. My wife liked it.

Also bought another one of her camera straps

another one for the Black Rapid, got it because the heat here was making a sweat mark on my neck with the standard strap and my big lens is no trouble to carry with it.

I used Black Rapids straps for a long time but I found them bulky. I finally ditched them when I found the Joby UltraFit Sling Strap. Being able to adjust the strap on the fly like this strap does is something I can't live without. I also like how the strap connects directly to the tripod socket without a QD plate or any other connector; just screw it right into the socket and you're good to go.

I have a couple Black Rapid slings (single and dual bodies), and the Peak Design strap. I find myself using the Peak Design more of late. Not sure why, don't have any complaints with the BR straps, the Peak just seems more informal maybe?

That is a fastener from Black Rapid for attaching the sling strap to the foot when using the strap, that is the connection point. The whole camera and lens combination is supported by that ring. Depending on which threaded hole it is screwed into, the D800 and 70-200 hangs by my side with the combination parallel to the ground or lens pointed down.
