I have just bought the D500 and need some new memory cards for it, the Lexar Professional 2933x XQD 2.0. seems to be the best choice for XQD so would you agree? also is the Lexar Professional 2000x SDHC/SDXC UHS-II the best choice for the sd card slot? I have always used sandisk cards so was looking some advice for you guys? Thanks

Lexar and Sony XQD cards are only $5 apart the last time I checked, and I can't tell any difference between the two. But $5 is $5, so you might as well go with the Lexar.

I haven't tried any UHS-II SD cards on my D500 yet, so I can't give any valid help to you there. I will say that even with a Sandisk 95mb/s card I can shoot a couple of dozen continuous shots with no slow down due to buffering.

I've had a ton of cards over the years - i tend to buy Scandisk - but have tried Sony and Kingston among others. The only card that has given me trouble has been the lexar - and that is because the little lock slider thing has come appart on a couple. i was able to recover the data so no great loss but a real bother. I no longer will by Lexar. I just tend to buy the fastest card by a primary maker (never buy generics or ultra cheapies).
