    Baby photo props?

In light of some recent news, I need to start collecting some studio props for baby photos. If anyone has some ideas or links to share, it would be much appreciated.

I have already ordered a hand-knit baby hammock from eBay, and also have my eye on some of those cute elf hats. In particular, I'm looking for:
    • Shag/fringe blankets
    • Antique washtubs
    • Woven wood baskets
    • Old wooden crates, like the kind that used to hold Pepsi bottles
I also really like those baby photos that have vintage wallpaper as a backdrop. I'm curious as to how any of you do this. I was thinking of cutting several pieces of plywood and wallpapering over them.

Old wooden block sets, you know the ABC blocks
Old stuffed animals, like elephants, and tigers etc.

Your best bet is to hit up your resale shops and antique stores in the area get some ideas. A lot of little cheap props can be found. You should know even the smallest prop can change a shot. Take your wife with you, remember they have that little touch we men done have. Of course anything you would buy I would recommend giving it a through cleaning of some type.

The wallpaper idea sounds like a plan, I'd do it. And it's cheap

Wow you asking for advice, and I have a chance to offer some...that's a switch lol

Don't forget a Baseball, Bat and Glove and a Red's uniform cap. Having a backdrop of the Red's stadium would be good too.

As long as it's not attached to the end of a snake.

Instead of plywood, why not use styrofoam backerboard. Its a hell of a lot safer to use around the young'un.
    Just my 2 cents.

White lamb skin rug, big basket with handle (something stork may use), stuffed animals (can never have enough), anything to do with sports. I once saw a baby curled up in a football helmet. Never seen it done but, musical instruments?

Just remember babies eyes are sensitive to light. Even when shut.

Ya know, the more I look at the photos that are using vintage wallpaper, the more I'm thinking they are just a JPEG that has been 'shopped in. I actually talked to one lady and this is how she does it. I'm not a fan of doing things that way, but it might be an option. I also thought about using curtains instead of actual wallpaper.
