Carry-on backpacks

Anybody have a bag they recommend to carry their camera and lenses aboard an airplane? I'm looking for the following:
- Carry-on bag
- Backpack (not a messenger)
- Able to carry a D750, 3 lenses and a flash
- Room to carry some miscellaneous non-photography items during flights that's easily accessible (snacks, a book or iPad, etc). I don't want to have to open up the main compartment to get to them.

I'm currently looking at a Think Tank Photo StreetWalker Hard Drive backpack. Anybody here have one of those? Opinions? Other suggestions?

Things to consider from a frequent traveler:

  • Which airline will you or do you primarily fly? Why? Some, like BA, reduced their allowed laptop bag size to 16in x 12in x 6in (40cm x 30cm x 15cm).
  • What type of plane will you or do you primarily fly? Why? Regional planes have very narrow/small overhead bins.
  • Will you be checking your primary bag / will this be the only bag you carry on? Why? If this is the only bag your carry on allowance may be larger.
  • Do you have status or will you be flying first/business? Why? you may be boarding later in the process and only have under seat storage available.
  • Domestic or international? Why? Most non-US carriers are much more strict about carry on restrictions.
