If you use LIVE VIEW, this might be a good tip.

With an IR-converted Nikon, you must use Live View. For me, this has been a difficulty due to the bright sun making the LCD screen hard to see clearly. I purchased a handy item that has eliminated that problem and virtually given me a view finder again. And it magnifies the LCD view. For any of you using an LCD screen for focusing your photos, you may want to look into getting one of these. I got mine on EBay for $30. It firmly attaches via the tripod mount and still allows for the use of a tripod. On the top, a band goes around the flash unit. I like it.
