My wife raised a very good point with me about insuring my camera and lens for our holidays etc.
Any one any suggestions?

If you have homeowners insurance you can get a floater attached to the policy that will cover your camera and equipment. If you rent and have renters coverage you can get the same floater attached. Contact your personal lines insurance agent. The floater is not expensive. It's an all risk coverage floater. You will need a list of the equipment you want covered with serial numbers of items that have one. Proof of value can be your original purchase receipt or a print out of an advertisement from a local photo store off the internet is usually acceptable.

We need to post a FAQ sticky on this info. I think between you and I, we've addressed this question at least a dozen times now.
