Nikon branded Black Rapid strap

It seems a bit lighter duty than my black rapid with the under the arm strap to keep it off my neck. But I admit I'm a fan of having the Nikon logo right on the strap! Maybe I'll just buy a Nikon logo patch and sew it on my current black rapid! Lol ;)

Is the Nikon name really big on the yellow side? I didn't see any photos that showed the name/logo.

This is the strap with name. I left my thumb in for size. The names are on rubber which could be cut off.

AND I love mine. I use the sport when out shooting, and the hand strap when shooting occasional. Both tethered.

How high does BR strap let you lift the camera? I do overhead overview shots quite a bit at events and while BR sounds temping to replace the stock strap and add a hand strap, if it can't give me that full freedom, I might have to keep looking elsewhere.

£201 on Amazon.co.uk so that's pushing $300!!! I don't know how I could justify that even if money wasn't an issue.....

Are they really that much better than a regular strap? What are their advantages? and what makes them so damned expensive?

Ok so it's £79.99 on the Nikon store but that's still a hefty price tag...

You know, comfort, convenience, high quality build. I personally have no problem using stock straps, but perhaps in the future something like this would be nice to own along with a hand strap.

I sincerely don't believe they can be "worth" that amount. I could well be wrong but from my naive point of view it looks like paying for a brand name.

That's a given too, haha. What you're paying for is some guarantee that your hanging D4 + 70-200 won't bust that tiny stitching and take a dive on you like the cheaper ones. Then you get to unclip your camera quickly and so on. As in the other thread, the cheaper clones bite the dust real fast with no warranty even.

I guess if I had a heavy full frame set up worth thousands I'd be more inclined to pay the extra. With a light weight D3200 it would seem odd that the strap costs a third the price of the camera body.
