tripod advice

I have stout legs on the tripod and my head allows movement in three planes. I can make big moves and then I can step it down to make minuscule, incremental moves as I home in on my target. It's solid enough to take a heavy load without sagging (I learnt the hard way!). That tripod generally moves by car. I have a lighter tripod/head combo for carrying and an ultra-lightweight monopod for general walks (but I haven't yet taken it with me anywhere). They are all ball heads.
This is the one I'm considering. Thoughts?

Reversible is good. The tripod looks a bit flimsy for me as I have a sodding great paparazzi telephoto and the D7100, battery pack and 18-300mm (with 2x teleconverter) is not a light load. Might be fine for you, though. I also like the bubbles on the head.
And it certainly looks light and flexible enough for those purposes.

I got this for Xmas and am extremely pleased.... solid, and a multitude of positions.... It is a tad more than what you are looking at but to me it was worth it..
