Few weeks ago Nikon quietly announced two new lens rain covers. No other details are available except [URL="http://www.adorama.com/searchsite/default.aspx?searchinfo=Nikon+Lens+Rain+Cover&KBID=63773"]those product listings at Adorama:

• Medium size for 200mm, 300mm and 200-400mm f/4 lenses (price: $124.95)
• Large size for 400mm, 500mm, 600mm and 800mm lenses (price: $129.95)

oh thanks,, anything better then my lousy umbrella that the wind blows around,,, and not taking pictures in lousy conditions would cut out a huge chunk of picture taking.

Huh... For the price I think I'll stick to using plastic kitchen trash bags and rubber bands for now.

I have a couple of the almost disposable OP/Tech RainSleeves that I keep in my carry bag just in case. More needed for my D5100 than my D7000. I think I would still use it of very dusty and hard rain if I had to shoot no matter what.

But these rain covers form Nikon look very nice I just wish they were not so expensive.

A bath towel does the job for me...
