Haha well I do need to keep my fitness up for my job, so what better way than to carry along gear that will make any holiday that more enjoyablesoon you will have to employ some locals to carry all your stuff.

Goal Zero seems to be the most trusted and used for portable charging. I know quite a few people who use them

Yeah I have been looking at those ones aswell.
Just wish the power pack didn't look like a thermos lol.
Still seems a little expensive. I know newer solar technology is out there that is cheaper, but it doesn't seem to be making it to market quite yet.

hehehe....always makes me laugh....prices like $309.99........what....are they ashamed to charge that extra penny to round it off to $310? Is anyone really fooled by this so called "marketing" strategy? Seriously....does $309.99 sound cheaper than $310?

I have the option of loaning a solar unit from a mate while I am away so I may take them up on that offer for now.
When I first saw this photo I thought it was one of the "bullet proof" backpacks that fear stricken parents here in the US are buying for their kids. It's hard to believe there are people willing to pay for such an item (it's pretty expensive, maybe more than this solar pack) let alone actually believe that a bullet proof backpack is the answer. It's official, we've all gone off the deep end here in the states!
You should do that. Then let us know what you thought of it in the real world of using it and if you found it to be worth the investment and why/why not.
