MicroSD + Adapter

I ordered for a 16GB Class 10 Sandisk SD Card & the dudes have sent me a MicroSD kit with Adapter.
Are there any drawbacks to using this vs using a SD card?
I haven't opened the package yet, so wondering what to do.
Any advice?

I think I would try for an exchange to just a SD card. I tried a SD to CF card converter once and it didn't work, don't know why.

What you might find with an adapter is that it does not allow your card to be used as a UHS-1 card (if you managed to get one that is UHS-1 of course).
The card itself can be Class 10, and you'll probably get a very insignificant reduction in transfer, but you'll almost certainly lose out on the better spec of the UHS-1 compatibility.
