Hilarious, got a good laugh out of it. It isn't just in a museum. I see it out in the field all the time when I go taking nature shots.

The proverbial bull in the china shop photographer who shows up on the scene shaking branches, snapping twigs and slopping through mud to get to a similar spot near you, all the while scaring away every bird you have stalked for the last hour that has just become accustomed to you!

"Seen anything interesting to photograph?"

This can be applied to many scenarios! ;)

I am more than happy to share my life experience to bring entertainment to those who can relate.

Today, for example, I will offer you the photo below to ponder. I spent about 2 hours frozen on a patch of uneven rocks and walking through muck, to get some unbelievable images of Great Egrets fishing for food. The area I frequent is a small man made nature preserve pond.

Egrets, Great Blue Heron, King Fishers, Seagulls, Cormorants, Ducks and even very, very large fish frequent this pond.

And... so do these clowns..... enough said. My legs were aching from standing with my heels higher than my toes and I had my fill.

The question is this, what on earth are these people fishing for? Lake Ontario is polluted, I wouldn't swim in it much less eat ANYTHING that comes out of it. We don't even drink the water without running it through a filter (although, the city does a great job with the water, it is always highly rated, but my attitude is I don't want to be the filter for anything missed!).

You could hear them coming as there is no natural pathway to this destination and yet, there they are! Sometimes, its a photographer, sometimes the fishermen and more often than not, a dog walker whose dog is not on a leash.

7 Egrets and 1 Great Blue Heron one minute....
and then they are gone!

They are probably thinking look at this dude with the camera splashing around in the muck...he is scaring the fish away....LOL

If it were only true. No, these folks were fairly brazen.

It was more like, "is that guy trespassing on our pond?" I have seen these types around before and this is serious business. I am sure there isn't a fishing license between them!

;)

Helene, sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your post. These guys fit right in with the whole bull in the china shop experience, they just didn't have cameras.

Funny how perspective works.

PS: please, call me "Art"
