Thanks Dan!

A tornado blew through our neighborhood last night. Someone did lose a roof since there are shingles, insulation and tar paper all over the place. A neighbor said he pulled the roof out of the middle of the street behind his house. Two houses down has lumber in their yard. A lot of trees went down. Part of our avocado tree snapped and the top half of our papaya tree is in our neighbor's yard.

Good news, no one is hurt!

Thanks Brent!

We drove around the
neighborhood. If we had lived one house to the west and/or one street to the south, there might have been more damage.

Internet keeps going up and down.

Cleaning up the back yard here in Charleston SC today. I do wish you folks in Florida would quit sending us hurricanes once you are done with them.:uncomfortableness:

Seriously, wishing the best for all of you in the storm's path. I've been through quite a few of them, but still dread the hurricane season.

@Clovishound They are predicting it could possibly hit Georgia or South Carolina as a Cat 1.

Yeah, been watching NOAA. Right now, locally, they are predicting 40 MPH winds on Friday, but once it goes back over water all bets are off. For years I've said when they predict landfall in Savannah 3 or 4 days out, it's heading for Charleston. The projected path always moves north. Hopefully this will be the exception that proves the rule. Hurricane Hugo in 89 was all the hurricane I every wanted to deal with. Cat 5, straight into Chucktown.

I'll be hoping it misses Charleston with you! I would hope it just spins out into the North Atlantic and disipates before it has any further interaction with any land mass at all!

I'm very pleased to hear that you are ok, Marilynne. Stay that way.

I do fear for what this storm may have done to further damage the C-B-B-R. Irma had already changed a lot of it, and not for the better!

Wind maybe 40-45 mph steady, heavy rain. Had some minor fence damage. Power was out for about 5 hours. No damage to the house. There were a few trees down in the neighborhood, nothing dramatic. News reports some flooding and trees down, but again, nothing unusual for a cat 1 hurricane.

Most important, the camera equipment is safe.
