Still post on Flickr and Instagram (rarely use the forum part in flickr). In the past used Talk Photography but in my opinion it is not is good as it used to be.

Anyway who needs other forums when you have Nikonites :playful:

I think I have an account on Fred Miranda and Back County Gallery but mostly read some posts. When I am searching online for information, sometimes it will take me to Photograph Talk or DPReview - but again I just read the info. 500px is an excellent website to see outstanding photography. I used to use Flickr mostly when I linked images to this forum. I have an Instagram account but haven't posted any images - there are photographers I like to follow there.

Facebook has photography groups, too. I particularly like to read through group posts for lighting/strobe information.

Yes 500px has outstanding pictures and I think it is mainly due to the way they filter the best/most viewed, to the top. Unfortunately Flickr, although I great site in my opinion, uses different logarithms to produce their daily 'explore' page. This can often result in photo's of people's dinner etc reaching the front page

Nikonites on flckr defaults to the "overview" page, which only shows old activity. You have to click on "photos" to get the updated images.

I have flickr and Instagram, but use neither for posting images. I think I had some old Halloween images on flickr years ago, but pretty sure I dumped them. I was on Nikonians for a very short time, and then I tried another photography forum that was so horrid that I wasn't on it long. I think it was DP Review. The people on there were rude and pixel-peeped every image to death. Then I found this forum. Although, I don't post all the time, I have found it to be the most helpful for me. I made more progress by interacting here than I thought could be possible. :encouragement:

I check-in on Backcountry Gallery, and look through flickr now and then, but I am also a member of a bunch of other forums for other hobbies, so I am not interested in joining another photography forum unless there is something outstanding about it.

I have noticed that a few forums seem to allow all sorts of stuff and rudeness without input from the administrators. So credit to the admin on this forum for keeping it not just running well but also with a friendly atmosphere :cheerful:

Someone will probably tell me to .... off now :beguiled:

@Peter7100 We have had a few flame-ups, but most of that is taken care of quickly. Anything I find questionable gets reported. So be good, don’t make me send you to the corner. ;)
