Guys, kindly suggest some nice, simple and attractive names for starting photography business. I am not interested in starting it with people names though. Please suggest me with words like Studio 8, Smile, Moments etc., Thanks a lot...

Where are you located? Some jurisdiction require a business have the owner's name in it, or you have to jump through a lot of hoops with fictitious name filings and notifications...

I once entertained going into the photography business. I was going to call it North Light Photography. I always thought that was a good name for a photography business. My plans were overcome by some events beyond my control, and some events within my control.

What type(s) of photography do you prefer to shoot? Some businesses choose a name that coincides with their main subject. There could be tons of suggestions, but if you are serious about creating a photography business, you should check to see if a corresponding URL would be available for a web site.

In my county if you don't register your business and get a business license, and pay the annual license fees, you go to jail. You can interpret the laws any way you want. Have a good day.

Which has nothing to do with naming a business. In your county, is the name of the business required for licensing? Does the license state, "John Doe, dba Lighthouse Photography"? The OP is asking for marketing advice, not legal.

I fully understand that. I was simply pointing out that there are real and other considerations for naming a business... that any business owner should be aware of... It would be a shame to name his business some real glitzy name, only to find out after he's been in business and has a customer base that he'd have to change the business name because he didn't do any due diligence and used the wrong name...

And Yes, the business licensing does require the business name and the real name of the business owner.

While our area doesn't require a person's name to be included in a business name, they do require licensing. And if you are going to run a business, choosing one with a unique name might be better than one that is identical to an established business. If the business takes off, you might want to get a URL as I previously mentioned. So be sure to check on what is available. If an established business already exists with that name, it would only cause problems even if the area where Clickr resides doesn't require licensing.

There are a number of business name generators online. You might want to search for one of them to get some ideas.

"Artistic Light Portrait and Event Photography" or something like that? Just giving you a direction to think about.

Could be kids, grads, weddings, etc. Too cutesy, and you might only get kids.
