Eye-fi Mobi Pro SD card

Hi, I have the Eyefi 16gb Mobipro SD card and I'm wondering is there an app or software that will work with this card or do I just throw this thing away. I really like this thing, it automatically transferred my pictures from my camera to my laptop, it was just amazing and like a fart in the wind it's gone, not gone, not supported far as I have researched.

If the card is gone like a fart in the wind, why do you want to throw it away? Please clarify what is gone! Did the card use to work to transfer pictures and it quit? You post leaves me totally confused.

I think I can surely say that you have no idea what card I'm talking about because if you did you would know my dilemma just by reading my post. Thanks anyway.

Question for you Nikonewbie, did the card stop working because of something internal, or did you upgrade to a different body, phone, or computer that doesn't support it?

Eye-Fi has discontinued support and has withdrawn the app from the App Store that makes it work... They basically sold a product and then walked away... the cards are useless...

Yes Fred, that’s what I was wondering, iif the card was useless or not. So there is no software or app that I can use.

Like Fred said below your original post, they made a product, gave us an app for it to work and then vanished And the app quit working and all of us that bought this product I guess will just throw it away.

From what I understand, they still function as a plain memory card...there just is no app. or wifi functionality... They are slow rated by comparison to normal SD memory cards... I believe Eye-Fi announced end of life for certain versions starting in 2015 and didn't totally pull the plug until sometime after 2017... There was an update to Win10 that brought all this to a head because it broke the working cards and they needed to be re-activated...but unfortunately, Eye-Fi had abandoned their web site by then and many folks apparently didn't have backups and could re-activate the cards.

The Wi-Fi still works and searching for an app or a way to download the pictures. I can see the card in my network but that’s as far as I can do anything with it. This is the reason I asked about the card. I was wondering if people that had this card found another way of connecting in order to download pictures to my MacBook.

Thank you all for replying to this thread, I appreciate you trying to help with my dilemma.
So I guess I’ll just 86 it.

I use qDSLRDashboard on my Nikon D810 and D800E. Not sure if this will work with Eyefi.
