B&H Payboo card

If you use the B&H Payboo card for purchases, be sure to check your invoices. The other day they offered the Vello screen protector for sale. I was supposed to save on tax and placed my order with that card. What I noticed is the correct item came with my name on the invoice; however, the order number doesn't match the original so I was charged sales tax. My online order shows the tax was refunded, but since this is a different order number, I'm not sure what happened. They are closed so I'll have to wait - but I"m sure they will make good on it. It's only a matter of $0.78, but if anyone makes large purchases, no one would want to pay tax with that card.

Quick update with this: after a wait time on the phone, I was able to confirm with someone from Synchrony Bank that no sales tax was charged on my order. So that's good news in case this happens to anyone else. When B&H reopens (whenever that might be), I will follow up with them as a precaution. It will be interesting to see if the order number matches anything on record. The order number is WAY different than the original.

This week I followed up with the difference in price between my online order and the receipt I received. According to the B&H sales rep, the way it was done was correct. He emailed me a PDF that contained missing information. My original order number was listed as a reference number on the PDF. And the new order number listed on the receipt was the correct new order number. He said it had to be done that way because of the sales tax. On the PDF receipt, there was a section listing the Payboo savings. So in the end, everything was fine.

If anyone places an expensive order using their Payboo card, please be aware of this. ;)

On my recent order totaling $1597, the Payboo card saved me over $111. Nice...

I don't order often, so it was easy for me to match up my Payboo statement with my one order that month.
