Ireland Photo Opportunities - Travel Question

Last year, Laurie and I were in Dublin with 3 of our 4 adult stepsons for a few days. We also drove out to the west coast for a day. The direct result is that we are going back, without the guys, for two weeks in May. Outside of spending one week-end with some friends flying over from the UK, we have a pretty wide open schedule with nothing hard planned. I thought I'd ask here if anyone has spots near where they live or have visited that are "don't miss" photo opportunities?

The itinerary as it stands is (night of) 11 May, Kilkenny; 12-13 May, Cobh; 14-16 May, Cromane with friends; 17-19 May, Galway; 20-22 May, Donegal; 23 May, Dublin; 24 May fly home. We will have a car (be afraid).

Any input or recommendations kindly appreciated!!!

Hi Eduard,
I live just south of Dublin & would highly recommend a trip around my home area the 'Garden of Ireland' which is otherwise known as County Wicklow, some highlights would be the world-famous Glendalough monastic site with beautiful lakes n walks; Powerscourt House & Gardens; the Bray to Greystones Cliff Walk (voted one of the most scenic in the country)

Here's a link for you to look through... Attractions – Wicklow County Tourism

If there's anything I can help with pls feel free to PM me.
Cheers,
Tina

when you're at Donegal the "Giants Causeway" and the "Carrick a rede" rope bridge aint that far away. Google them to see if they interest you.

Thank you for the link and offer Tina! We're starting to look at daily planning now.

I've suggested both to Laurie while we were doing our initial itinerary and she not so gently reminded me that she isn't a fan of heights. :D
