That might explain why their new mirrorless seemed to be a bit less effort on the body and more on the lens. They invested in the lens but no in body image stabilization and just not the camera you would have expected. It sounds like they are not seeing the return on investment that they are used to and are preparing to shift resources using "Market Trends" to speak to stockholders. It just sounds a bit like spin.
I did not see that kind of attitude from Nikon. The new mirrorless cameras are not perfect, but the more I read and see of the Z 6 the more I am liking it. I know it only has one card and some focus issues with tracking but it seems that these things can be fixed with firmware. I am still saving my pennies for a while to see how the Z 6 shakes out.
I do have a friend with the Z 7 and he does love it. He and I do take similar types of photos and he has been nothing but pleased. He loves the low light performance and is just really pleased with the sharpness of the photos he has been taking. He loves the EVF.
I still like the D700 and D7200. I am not in any hurry. More in a hurry for Pat to get her memory back. Then get back to some photography.
