Photoshop CC not working after update

Photoshop cc not working after update! I tried several things and what I ended up doing that worked was to remove the PS icon on my dock "iMac" and open it in application and it worked, so I removed the old icon and replaced it with a new one drug down from my applications and everything works fine now. Before I could not open it or drag a picture and drop it on my PS icon on my dock to open PS CC.

Almost every update to a CC application has broken the existing shortcut on my PC. I don't know why it happens, I don't think it should, but it does.
