A great comedy actor, but the first time I heard him sing, it totally blew my mind. Could not believe that sound coming out of Gomer Pyle! I enjoyed him for many, many years at the Indy 500 singing "Back home again in Indiana". RIP.

Yes sir. Living in Indiana my whole life, I definitely have some of the same memories.
